According to the data of ASER, districts of Nagaon, Morigaon, Hojai in Central Assam are lagging far behind when it comes to education as most of the families have low socio-economic status which adds greatly to the deprivation of quality education for children. Along with this, the government schools lack in adopting child friendly pedagogy which encourages the children to drop out of schools. Satirtha is working towards bridging the gap between children and schools by adopting a school-centered community development approach. With this the major focus is also spreading awareness around reproductive health of adolescent girls.
