A lot of students struggle with finding the right emotional balance during their childhood which they carry with them through their growing years. CounSEL (Council of Understanding Social-Emotional Learning) aims to provide safe spaces to enhance the social-emotional learning and well-being of primarily underprivileged students. Through their interactive, reflective, and experiential social-emotional learning (SEL) program, they intend to enable students to become aware of their emotions and regulate them to help them thrive in life. Along with that they also work towards sensitizing educators and communities about the social-emotional needs of self and others to create a community of compassion and collaboration. Their long-term vision is to create a community of compassionate, optimistic, and “I Can” individuals.
